  • The Bay Horse, Middridge 22/6/25

    Lovely meal at The Bay Horse on 22nd June - 10 of us enjoyed good conversation and food. A little rushed, as we had to finish by 2pm but that was okay, as some of us had to get home for the tennis! Read more

    Our May Sunday Lunch outing was 18th May and we went to The Green Tree in Tudhoe Village. This has become a group favourite and didn't disappoint. The 15 of us there enjoyed the food and the company. Read more

    14 of us went to The Copper Mine at Job's Hill in Crook for Sunday Lunch on 27th April. This was our fifth visit and both food and service were as good as usual. We'll be back. Read more

  • The Spotted Dog

    13 lucky members had lunch at The Spotted Dog at High Coniscliffe in March. Our table was in the conservatory extension and it was rather cold when we arrived though warmed up as other tables filled up over the next hour. As always we enjoyed the wide-ranging conversation. Read more

  • The Honest Lawyer, A167 Croxdale

    16th June 2024 First visit to a new venue for the group with new members as well. Food very well received by those present, both mains and desserts. Good banter around the table. Longer than usual lunch of over 3 hours with quite a lot of time between courses. Good value for money. Read more

    Sunday, 19th May was our first visit to the The Spotted Dog at High Coniscliffe. Other u3a members had been shortly after the refurbishment and recommended it. We were not disappointed. Read more

    Sunday, 18th February eight of us went to The Green Tree. This was a return visit and we always enjoy lunch there. Most of us opted for the small mains as we know from experience the standard plate size is rather large. Some had starters and some had desserts and/or tea/coffee. Read more
