Pam will organise our final coach trip of the year that will be to the Autumn Flower Show that is held at Newby Hall each autumn. Ticket prices will not be known until early 2027 but are usually about £25. This includes access to the ground floor of the hall where there are many flower displays as part of the show. Other floors will not be accessible on show dates. The rest of the show is in the grounds. The ticket is good value for money as it is as good as the Newby Hall group rate and includes the Newby Hall gardens and related attractions.
We visited Newby Hall back in May 2023 and had a lovely day out. The members who came were very complimentary about the venue, the gardens within gardens, and the other activities on offer. The entire estate now comprises 7,000 acres. There is so much to do at Newby Hall that the hours pass very quickly indeed. The café was well visited and the catering received praise. We said we would like to return at another time of year. This is autumn so the planting will be be quite different. You can split your time between the gardens and the flower show or devote your time to one or the other as you wish.
The coach that has been provisionally booked is a 29-seater so that is the number we are limited to for this trip. Bookings and payments will start in June 2027, run through July, and have a deadline of August Town Hall but there could well be an early-bird ticket at reduced price. I won't know this until the tickets are launched early 2027 but if this is the case then you will know very quickly and we shall change the booking deadline accordingly to take advantage of this.
