Pam is organising our second outing of 2027 that will be a private visit to Langton Farm at Great Langton, not far from Northallerton, owned by Annabel and Richard Fife.

This is a garden designer's organic garden that has been created since 2000. There is a romantic flower garden with mixed borders, roses, poppies, Astrantias, delphiniums, white lilies and a pebble pool. There are formal and informal gravel areas, a nuttery. and Pear avenue underplanted with double helix of white daffodils.

As this is fairly local for us this will be a car-share. The price for the private visit has been requested along with date confirmation and more information about this will follow. We shall be limited to 25 members on this visit on a first-com, first-served basis.
The facilities available are not yet known but it is doubtful that there will be a café as such. The good news is that Kiplin Hall is very near and their café can be used without the need to buy a ticket to access the main property. Of course, Historic Houses members get free access to Kiplin Hall anyway. Members could have a drink and a snack before or after our Langton Farm visit once we know if our visit will be morning or afternoon. Less than 6 miles away is Northallerton if anyone fancies a look round the shops or a visit to Strikes Garden Centre.
Bookings and payments will start for this outing in February 2027 and carry on through March with the deadline for booking and payment April Town Hall. This allows time to get the invoice from the venue and arrange payment.
