Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you like helping others? If so then would you consider joining our u3a Town Hall Welcoming team? It is a rewarding role, a way to meet others, and can put a potential new member at ease.

The role involves talking to new people who are visiting our Monthly Meeting for the first time, finding out if they have any specific interests, and then guiding them round the room and telling them about the groups that are there. Before the meeting starts, settle them into a seat in the main hall and, where possible, introduce them to the person sitting next to them.

We have a regular team of volunteers for this role and you are likely to be asked to be available on a rota basis one or two times a year.

You would be given a briefing and work alongside another member of the team until you felt comfortable to do it yourself. Please contact Jackie on the group email if you would like to discuss this further.
